Two time Paris marathon champion Paul Lonyangata won the Taipei Marathon title ran today in Taiwan.
The Kenyan runner led a 1-2 podium finish in men’s race as Ethiopians took charge of women, sweeping the podium with Askale Wegi leading compatriots Alemtsehay and Zinash Lema for second and third positions respectively.
The West Pokot born runner, Lonyangata relegated Elisha Rotich to second position, winning in 2:08.26 as Rotich was second timing 2:12.15 before Estonia’s Tiidrek Nurme completed the podium in 2:15.19.
