Makau swing into Konza Golf Day victory on countback

Home player Mark Makau defeated Kenya Railway’s golfer Paul Tember to win the 4th edition of Konza Golf Day played on par 70 Machakos golf club.

All tied on an impressive 41 stable ford points, Makau managed to take the title on countback in a crowded field that attracted 130 players.

The handicap 24 golfer edged out Railway’s club’s Paul Temba on countback and club mate James Ndunda for third place on 40 stable points.

On 35 points, Nancy Kariuki was the lady winner’s prize winner as was the Nancy Wairimu won the ladies longest drive as David Kimathi took home men’s longest drive and James Ndunda was the nearest to the pin winner
