Malkia Strikers, the national women volleyball team registered their first victory at the ongoing Volleyball World Championships in Brazil.
The Paul Bitok led side defeated Bradesco Esportes in 3-1 (20-25,25-22,27-25,25-21), the first win ahead of World Championships set for September 23 to October 15 in Poland and Netherlands.
Kenya lost all their matches against hosts Osasco, Sesi Sorocaba and Esporte Clube Pinheiros, Esporte Clube Pinheiros 3-0 (25-20,25-21,25-16).
