Sophia Jepchirchir and Emmanuel Maru were the winners of the inaugural Agnes Tirop Memorial 10km held today at the Koitaleel Samoei University in Mosoriot, Nandi County.

Jepchirchir won the race in 33:02 ahead of experienced Feliciana Jepkosgei 33:57 and Brenda Tuwei settled for third place in a time of 34:05
Maru from Elgeyo Marakwet won the men’s race 29:33 followed by Kelvin Kibiwott who crossed the finish line at 29:33 while Gideon Kiprotich emerged third in a time of 29:41.
