Tuskys Cross Country champion Michael Kibet won the 5000m Palio Della Quercia in Rovereto with a course record in Italy.
The Trans Nzoia based runner, who finished second at the national athletic championships last week ran his personal best of 13:11.08 to win the race, breaking the Hayle Ibrahimov meeting record of 13:11.34 from 2012.
The champion won the 2018 Maria Soti Cross Country title, stunned compatriot Erick Kiptanui to second in 13:11.51.
Bett also won the Mount Elgon cross country title in November.
In 800m, Collins Kipruto won the title in 1:44.42 ahead of former world under 20 1,500m champion Jonathan Kitilit 1:45.38 before USA’s Isiah Harris (1:45.55) broke the podium sweep party.
In women, Fancy Cherono finished second to Albania’s Luiza Gega who won the 3,000m steeplechase. Gega won in 9:26.73 ahead of Cherono’s and Geneviéve Lacaze-Gregson (9:37.67) of Australia was placed third.
