World under 18 400m hurdles silver medalist Moitalel Mpoke qualified to compete at the semi-finals in the 400m hurdles at the ongoing World Athletic Championships in Oregon.
The man, who missed to compete at the Olympic Games last year finished 4th in his heat when he timed 50.19 in a race won by Olympic and World champion Karsten Warholm
Warholms easily qualified for the semis by topping the heat in 49:34. Julie Watrin of Belgium came home second in 49.83 with Jaheal Hyde of Jamaica finishing third in 50:03.
Olympic silver medallist Alison Dos Santos of Brazil won his heat after posting 49:41 as Kemar Mowatt of Belgium finished second in 49:44.
Wilfried Happio of France completed top three places in the heat in 49.60 as Nick Smidt of Netherlands took the final spot in 49.80
