Two time Africa Masters champion Regina Mulatya bagged the second silver medal at the ongoing World Masters Indoor Athletics championships in Torun, Poland.
On Wednesday night, the prison wardress won her second silver in the triple jump after clearing 11.17m in the W45 category.
This was her second silver following her other silver medal in the women’s long jump on Monday night to double the medals, the 6th medal for team Kenya at the championships that kicked off on March 24th and will end on April 1st.

Other gold medalists are Erick Shikuku in the 3,000m race walk and Grace Wanjiru who won the 3,000m walk race title on Tuesday evening.
Mulatya said that it was a great day winning silver and her second at the championships.
“Am happy about it because it is my first time to participate in indoor games and I have made it this far. This was through hard work and determination,” said Mulatya.
She was optimistic that if she continued training, she could do better in other championships.
“It shows that I can do better if I continue doing my work out daily, respecting my coach and above all putting God first,” she said.
Head of delegation Rose Muya Tata said that they are expecting more medals come Friday because the camp is happy.
“With four gold and two silver, it is an achievement. Above all, we are expecting two more medals on Friday where Shikuku and Wanjiru will be on track in M45 and W45 respectively in the 10km race walk,” said Tata.
