KiMAMA captain Robert Nguli is optimistic of setting good results at the 2020 second leg of Scrabble Kenya National series set for weekend in Kitui.
As the host captain, Nguli will be banking experienced Muumbi Muema to deliver good results as the county hosts their third national championships in the eent that starts on Saturday 8th to Sunday 9th at Parkside Villa.
“All eyes will be on us since we are hosing this national tournament for the 3rd time and we have to prove that we can do better at,” said Nguli.
However, Nguli and Muema will have to Marshall their efforts to tame Kenya One Allan Oyende and second seeded Nderitu Gitonga at the tournament.
Oyende, Gitonga and Muema were part of Word Warriors, the national scrabble team that represented the nation at the World English Scrabble Players Association Championships (WESPAC) in Goa, India.
Gitonga won the opening leg last month with 13 wins out of 18 with a spread of +1252. He will be seeking back to back wins over the weekend.
