Railways club golfer Samuel Njoroge shot two under par to enjoy the overnight lead at the Kabete Open, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) on par 72 Vet lab Sports Club.
The KAGC champion fired four over par 76 in round one before playing six under 66 in the second round to beat round one leader and home golfers Mike Kisia and Jack Mwangi.
With golfers tackling 54 holes, Njoroge will be weary of home golfers as well as Great Rift’s Somon Njogu and Nyali’s Daniel Nduva to the title on Sunday morning.
