Former Africa cross country champion Leonard Barsoton and former Beijing marathon winner Valary Aiyabei Jemeli were crowned the champions of Kabarak University Half marathon ran today.
The Japan based Barsoton won the men’s title in 65:26 seconds to pocket kshs 150,000 as he prepares to compete at the Valencia Half Marathon next month.
He edged out Ezra Sang who finished second in 65.41 and Phens Kipleting to complete the podium in 65.45.
The ever green Aiyabei won the women’s title in 75:01 ahead of Lydia Njeri 77.4 and Lydia Simiyu 78.4.
Kandie Kibiwot won the men’s 10km in 30:58 while Deborah Samum was the victor in women’s race in 36:02.
