Njoroge takes charge at Uganda Open

Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) champion Samuel Njoroge took the lead at the third and penultimate stage of the ongoing Uganda Open Amateur Tournament at Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort in Uganda.

The Railway’s Njoroge fired an impressive four under par 68 to overtake round one and two leader Simon Njogu from Great Rift Valley resort to second.

Njoroge, who is the KAGC leader leads with three under par 213, leading with two shots against Njogu on one under 215.

In the first round, Njoroge recorded one over 73 followed by level and today’s 4 under ranked him second best after Ugandan international Ronald Otile fired six under par 66 to move third with ov level 216. The Tororo based had a bad start with 82, 68 and today’s 66 puts him in the position to finish on the podium.

Otile relegated Nyali’s Daniel Nduva to 4th after finishing second in the second round. Nduva, who fired one under today for T3.
