Relegation bound Thika United will be seeking to extend their winning formula when they face former champions former champions Nzoia Sugar in the weekend’s Kenya Premier League (KPL) match.

With both teams struggling to stay in the Kenyan top flight football, Thika trounced Gor Mahia 1-0 last weekend and on Sunday, they play Nzoia Sugar at Sudi stadium with six matches line up for the weekend with AFC Leopards, Kariobangi Sharks, Sofapaka and Ulinzi Stars in FKF Sportpesa Shield Cup semi final matches at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
In addition, there will be three matches on Saturday in various fields across the country. Bandari FC hosts Nakumat FC as Sony Sugar play Chemelil Sugar in a sugar derby in Awendo while Posta Rangers will entertain newly promoted side Vvihiga United in Machakos.
Just like Saturday, there will be three matches on Sunday when Wazito FC play Zoo Kericho at Camp Toyoyo, then Tusker against Mathare United at Ruaraka Stadium then Nzoia Sugar tackle Thika United in a relegation survival.
