Nandi hosts 10k Free Rabbis race ahead of World Rabbis Day

Nandi County will be hosting the second edition of the Rabbis Free Kenya 10km road race this Saturday in Kapsabet.

The race sponsored by Sharon Live Foundation, kicked off last year in Kisumu will be hosted at Kapsabet Show ground is set to attract many athletes as it is placed at the centre of runners with Nandi county Christened as Source of Champions due to its large ‘production of world athletes beaters led by world marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge and Amos Kipruto who shone at last Sunday’s Berlin marathon.

Athletes who will be taking part will register with Kshs 300.

the annual event is meant to create awareness about rabies and on the need to vaccinate dogs with the event set to mark the World Rabbis Day on 28th September.

The event will be sponsored by Sharon Live Foundation founder Barnaba Korir who lost his daughter Sharon from rabies in 2004 after she was bitten by a stray dog.
