Commonwealth Games bronze medalists Nick Okoth and Christine Ongare will lead Kenya’s hit squad at the All Africa Games set for Morocco this month.
The duo were in the final squad named by Boxing Federation of Kenya (BFK) and will be joined by debutants lightweight Ethan Maina of Kenya Police and welterweight Boniface Mugunde for Kenya Defence Forces.
Okoth won the bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth games in New Delhi India while Ongare won bronze at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
The pugilist will be joined by BFK vice chairman Isaac Mbote as the teams Team Manger and assistant coach David Munuhe who doubles up as BFK secretary general.
The final squad will continue their residential training at Kasarani indoor arena before jetting out on August 15
