Manoj Narshi Patel in the new president of Cricket Kenya at the national elections held today at the Kasarani stadium.
The former Kenya international defeated Chidambaran Subramanian, the chairman of Stray Lions and Tariq Iqbal in a three horse race.
The new chairman garnered 51 votes for the post while his opponents Iqbal and Suramanian managed zero votes.
Maina Kiruma Kamau on 50 votes will deputize Patel after beating Thomas Odoyo who managed a vote with Kalpesh Solanki garnering 100% votes will serve as the treasurer after trouncing Peter D Costa without a vote, Perlyne Omamo (Director Women’s Cricket) as unopposed and Kennedy Otieno Obuya earning the County Associations Representative post unopposed.
