Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has named the Shujaa, the national rugby 7s team ahead of Safari 7s set for october 9th to 11th at the RFUEA grounds, Nairobi.
Naming of the squad comes a day after the conclusion of the National sevens circuit at the Christie 7s where overall champions KCB Rugby has dominated the squad.
Apart from the requlars, there are eight new members into the squad from Kisumu RFC’s top try scorer Harrison Mauve as well as Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) fly-half Flavian Otiyo.
At the same time, Patrick Lumumba, Mike Lukusi, and Stanislaus Shikoli have been recalled to the squad, having previously spent time in the Shujaa setup.
The selected players will commence training tomorrow ahead of the Safari Sevens and Africa Men’s Sevens as well as World sevens series.
