Senyonjo scores as AFC Leopards sink Nairobi United

Samuel Senyonjo scored a solitary goal when former champions AFC Leopards  stamped authority to beat Nairobi United in today’s rescheduled Kenya Premier League match played at the Nyayo National stadium.

After a 4-1 thumping in the hands of Mathare United over the weekend, it was time for the hosts to win 1-0  to cut Gor Mahia leadership to 7 points.

The 12th minute was enough to see Fred Ambani to earn maximum points.

Nairobi United head coach Godfrey Oduor admitted his side’s failure to convert chances proved costly, despite a strong tactical plan.

The win keeps Leopards firmly in the title conversation, with every point now carrying extra weight as the season enters its decisive phase.

Nairobi United, meanwhile, will look to bounce back and address their finishing issues in upcoming fixtures
