Situma’s brace guide Vihiga beat Zetech to reclaim women title

Topister Situma grabbed a brace to guide Vihiga Quieens beat Zetech Sparks to reclaim the Kenya Women Premier league title at the Mumias Sports Complex in kakamega County.

In another match, relegation bound kayole Starlets defeated newbies Bunyore Starlets.

Sutima opened the score in the first half for a 1-0 lead before netting a brace in the second half for 2-0 and Immah Wangira scoring the tjhird for 3-0 and Pureh Alukwe scoring a consolation for Sparks in a 3-1 win.

Following the win, Vihiga has now won the title four times, after reclaiming it from Thika Queens who won last season.

Christine Kadina scored the sole goal for Kayole to beat Bunyore in the Starlets derby.

Kayole, which was bound to be relegated, got a life line and they need to win in their next matches to remain in the top flight football while Bunyore’s relegation is becoming real.
