Former Harambee Stars head coach James Nandwa has been appointed as 2006 Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions SoNy Sugar Fc as a head coach on a two-year contract.
The experienced Nandwa will be assisted by Sylvester Wanyama. After helping Jericho All Stars clinch the third edition of the annual Super 8 Premier League in 2018, Nandwa has been team-less despited his wide experience.
Nandwa replaces Patrick Odhiambo who left the club to join Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia as an assistant coach.
Nandwa also coached Afc Leopards, Tusker Fc, Thika United and will be guiding SoNY to top positions after finishing 5th 2018/2019.
Sony last won the title in 2006.
