Stanley Njoroge was victorious in today’s Scrabble Kenya Mombasa tournament played in Machakos ahead of Pan Africa Scrabble championships that will be staged in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Seeded 9th, Njoroge edged out bigwigs for the title after winning 13 out of 18 matches, losing only five in the two day tournament that started yesterday, coming to an end today.
He lost to Onanoi Magwanga in the 3rd game, lost to David Kimani in the 8th game, and Willy Mwangi in the 9th in a raw.
