Strathmore University women side Scorpions have won the Kenya Hockey Union (KHU) women’s league following their victory against United States International University (USIU) side Spartans.
With two games to go, the team recorded their first title win in history for the title following their 4-2 win when Grace Bwire scored all four goal for Scorpions while Naomi Kemunto and Beatrice Mbugua netted for the Spartans.
The victory propelled the team to 28 points by leading second placed Lakers, with one match play have 18 points as defending champions Blazers are third with 17 points.
