With East Africa Nations of Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania set to host the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) next month, they will be competing at the four-nations tournament as part of their preparations.
The three hosting nations will include South Sudan come July 24th at the Karatu Stadium in Tanzania.
The one day tournament will see hosts Tanzania play Kenya then Uganda tackling South Sudan with the winners facing off at the finals in the evening.
With CHAN set to kick off on August 1st to August 31st, Benni McCarthy’s side kick off their campaign against Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on August 3 at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani.
Other Group A matches include against Angola (August 7), Morocco (August 10) and Zambia (August 17). It will be their maiden participation in the competition that is normally reserved for players plying their trade in local leagues.
