Too, Makokha hands Kenya silver at Africa Games

Kenya won the first silverware at the ongoing All Africa Games in Rabat, Morocco.

The Kenya Beach Volleyball team lost to Egypt at the finals on Tuesday evening to earn Kenya their first silver in the games.

Making their first appearance at the finals of the Games, Naomi Too and Gaudencia Makokha, lost to Egypt in straight sets of 13-21 and 15-21.

Coached by Patrick Owino the team registered great improvement from 2015 edition where they finished 4^th overall after losing to Rwanda in the third-place beach volleyball playoffs.

They edged out Mozambique 2-0 (21-18 and 21-15) at the semifinal after beating defending champions Nigeria with a similar margin of 21-15.

Egypt whipped Mauritius with a straight-sets of 21-19 and 21-19.
