Wanyama in full action as Montreal edge Vancouver

Kenyan international Victor Wanyama helped his new team Montreal Impact to edge out Vancouver Whitecaps in the Major League Soccer (MLS) played today at the Saputo Stadium in Montreal.

The Harammbee Stars captain played the 90 minutes as Montreal Impact beat Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 with goals from Samir Quioto in the 18th minute and Lassi Lappalainen sealed the victory in the 40th minute.

Following their win, Montreal now seats in third position with three points from three matches and will face Toronto FC in their next match on Saturday.

The club is coached by former Arsenal top scorer Thierry Henry.

Wanyama left Tottenham Hotspur to join Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact in a three- and-a-half year deal in March this year.
