We are renovating Kasarani as we call for sobriety in FIFA/FKF standoff- Amina

Sports Cabinet secretary Amina Mohamed has hinted that renovation works at Kasarani is still ongoing despite the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on live link to NTV, Amina said people working at the facility are strictly adhering to government directives to control the spread of the disease.

She said they are considering taking advantage of the situation occasioned by the coronavirus to improve the standards of sports infrastructure across the country.

At the same time, she revealed that she has the desire for a local solution to end the impasse Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

This follows the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) that cancelled the federation’s elections for the second time in March that were reversed by FIFA.
