Sisters Norah Jeruto and Daisy Jepkemei stunned the world when they finished first and second positions at the IAAF World Challenge in Zagreb Croatia today (Tuesday 29).
Jeruto, the elder sister to Jepkemei won the race in 9:04.56, the meeting record in 3,000m steeplechase that entered the 67th year.
Leading by example as an elder in a family of four from Baringo county Jeruto won the race followed by Jepkemei who was second in 9:19.68.
The 21 year-old stormed to a PB of 9:03.70 in Berlin two days ago, was in superb form. The 22-year smashed the MR in Zagreb and inspired a Top 4 finish for her country, taking the win in the women’s 3000m Steeplechase
