Kenya Women Premier League: We are ready to win against Bulemia-Joshua Ariko

Eldoret Falcon coach Joshua Ariko is optimistic that the new signings will be of great influence to earn them points as they start the second leg of Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) this weekend.

The Falcons will be hosting Bulemia Ladies on Saturday afternoon at Kipchoge Keino stadium in Eldoret.

As the hosts, they will be trying to revenge against their rivals who managed beat them 2-1 in the first leg in Vihiga on 23rd April.

Eldoret Falcons will be, for the first time  introduce the new signings to play the match that is very crucial to them. The signings include striker Linda Auma and goalkeeper Maureen Shimuli from Thika Queens, attacking mid player Joyce Awuor and striker Ruth James from Moi University, Diana Shakava from Bishop Njenga and midfielder Njoki Mutua.

“We are ready for the match. We have been in the camp and that has helped us to play as a team and come Saturday, we want to win the match,” said Ariko.

He added that the new signings will add a superb value in the team that has been registering mixed results in the Zone B.

“We have been doing well and the signings will solidify the team and we expect them to deliver as a team,” added Ariko.

In the eight team Zone B KWPL, Eldoret Falcon has collected 7 points from 7 matches played in position five while their rivals Bulemia has collected three points from 6 matches lying in position 7.

The Zone B is led by Oserian Ladies who have 19 points from 7 matches. The record scoring team has not lost any match but dropped two points in a draw against Vihiga Queens.
