Windsor golf club player Alex Mwangi recorded his maiden Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) victory at the Diani Beach Masters on the par 72 Diamond Leisure Lodge in Kwale County.
mwangi fired a total of +2 218 for the title to claim the title ahead of Muthaiga’s Eugene Wafula, the Ruiru Open champion with five over par 221 as Karen’s Kellie Gachaga, the only lady to complete top three with +7 223.
in the three day championships that teed off on Friday, the champion fired +4 76 in round one followed by identical one under par 71 in both second and third rounds on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
