Edward Kandie won the Woodlands marathon title held yesterday in Texas, USA.
The 26 year-old took charge of the race at the 20km mark and ran solo for the remainder part cutting the tape in a life time best of 2:27.40.
Kandie waited for more than fourteen minutes before the second runner, Zhao Meng, from the United States arrived.
Meng crossed the line in second with a time of 2:41.54 and he was followed by his fellow country-mate Paul King who closed the podium finishes in a time of 2:45.12.
In the women category, Hannah Miller from the United States took the top honors with a time of 2:38.29. She was followed by Ingrid Mollenkopf, who pulled a time of 2:49.27 with Sarah Rimel closing the podium finishes in a time of 2:51.15
