Despite beating Qatar and drawing with Russia, Harambee Stars, the national men’s football team has dropped in the latest Fifa Men’s Football ranking.
The Engin Firat side dropped from position 109 down to 110 in rankings released today by the World Football governing body by accumulating a total of 1186.85 points.
Stars played to a 2-all draw against 2-2 Russia, beating Qatar 2-1 and a 1-0 loss to South sudan which can be attributed to the drop.
In Cecafa, Kenya is second behind Uganda while Morocco continues to maintain its position as the top-ranked team on the African continent, securing the 13th spot globally with 1658.49 accumulated points.
They are followed closely by Senegal at position 20 and Tunisia at position 32, rounding out the leading three countries in Africa.
Argentina are still the leading nation globally with 1861.29 points over their closest challengers, France who sit second with 1853.11.
