Fresh from defending his Olympic marathon title in Tokyo, Japan, world marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge will be taking a rest before returning into the action.
Kipchoge, who won the 4th and final gold for Kenya at the concluded games said taking time off to regain energy before negotiating for another move.
With his four London Marathon titles, said: “I think the Olympics ended just the other day. I need proper rest,” said Kipchoge who clocked 2:08:38 for Olympic gold beating Netherlands’ Abdi Nageeye (2:09:58) and Belgian Bashir Abdi (2:10:00).
Kipchoge arrived today at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport accompanied by Timothy Cheruiyot, who won 1,500m silver, and reigning world marathon champion Ruth Chepng’etich.
