John Korir successfully defended his Boston marathon title by setting a new course record that had stayed for 15 years.
In the 16th year, former Chicago marathon, Korir won today’s Boston marathon with a course record of 2:01:52 better than Geoffrey Mutai’s 2:03:02 set way back in 2011.
