George Eshuchi and Amartripal Sahota were the winners of Law Society of Kenya Golf day and August Monthly Mug titles on Leisure Lodge and Nakuru golf club respectively on Saturday 26th.
Royal Club’s Eshuchi played 37 stable ford points to emerge victorious in the event that attracted 60 golfers.
With luck accompanying home from Nairobi to the Coastal club, handicap 19 Eshuchi started well with four pars to lift the title ahead of Muthaiga’s Robert Ngugi who lost by a single point finishing second with 36 points.
Playing handicap 07, Ngugi beat Nyali’s Dona Mwamwero to third with 35 points before home golfer Anne Jongema who returned 4th with 34 points.
In a rare show of competence, four golfers in Nakuru played to a stalemate of three over par during the August Monthly Mug.
But luck went to Amartripal who beat the rest on count back on 73 Nakuru course.
Even after playing the lowest gross 87, Wahome Wanjohi finished second when he lost to Amartripal on count back and Fazal Hassan completed the podium with
