Kenya’s Chipu fall to Samoa at World Rugby Under-20 Trophy

Kenya Under-20 rugby team Chipu lost their opening fixture to Samoa in the opening match of World Rugby Under-20 Trophy at the Nyayo Stadium.

The Curtis Olago coached 34-25 as they plan to face Spain on Thursday in pool A matches.

Stanslaus Shikoli, Wycliffe Otieno, George Otieno and Raphael Wanga scored a try each with Eddy Wambugu and Spencer Davies converting a penalty and a conversion respectively.

Captain Michael Wamalwa was proud of his team’s effort as they managed to match Samoa in almost ever department.

“The boys played their hearts out and we tried all that we could but unfortunately, we did not get the result that we wanted,” said Wamalwa.
