Kenya’s Chipu in revenge mission against Zimbabwe’s Junior Sables in Barthes Cup final

Kenya’s young rugby team Chipu will be facing off with Zimbabwe today at the Barthes Cup finals, the repeat of last year finals ahead of the 2024 World Rugby U-20 Trophy slated for July in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Nyayo National stadium encounter was good for the Zimbabweans who beat hosts Kenya 28-07 to win the title. And Chipu will be seeking revenge over the Junior Sables.

The 4PM EAT game in Harare, Zimbabwe will see the unbeaten sides face off and tie on 10 points each with Chipu leading +45 against Zimbabwe’s +37 heading into the finals.

They recorded victories against Tunisia and Namibia when Kenya beat five time champions Namibia 36-28 and Tunisia’s 56-17.
