Ngetich and Kimeli win 10km titles at Adizero Road to Records

Agnes Jebet Ng’ETICH AND Nicholas Kipkorir Kimeli were the winners of the 10km titles at the Adzero Road to records in Herzogenaurach, Germany.

Ngetich missed the world 10km record by two seconds after cutting the tape in 30:03. The late Agnes Jebet Tirop had won the title in 2021 with a world record of 30:01.

She led 1-2-3 podium sweep for Kenyans with Margaret Chelimo Kipkemboi coming second after clocking 30:39 with Jesca Jelangat completing the podium at 30:46.

In Men, Kimeli won the title in 27:04 beating world half marathon champion Sebastian Kimaru Sawe to second in 27:06 with Rodrigue Kwizera (27:07) finishing third.

After finishing third last year, Kimeli edged out defending champion sawe for the victory.
