Kenya Lionesses, the national rugby 7s women team lost the Safari 7s title to new comers Coasta Blanca Barbarian yesterday.
Making their debut at the annual event, the Barbarians wn the title with a 24-10 score at the final whistle.
The win meant Coasta Blanca Barbarians from Spain walks home with the 2024 Safari 7s title after participating in the tournament for the first time
The Kenya Lionesses were unable to reclaim the title again having lost the 2023 edition to Uganda in the final.
Defending champions Uganda lady cranes finished third after defeating Shogun Ladies 25-00 in the third place final while Kenya Cubs claimed the fourth position after registering a 07-05 win over Uganda II in the 5th Place Final.
