The sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen yesterday unveiled a team that will oversee the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and Africa Nations Championships (CHAN).
With Kenya set to host the two crucial events, where CHAN will be hosted next year and AFCON set for 2027 co-hosted by Tanzania and Uganda, Murkomen said that he has prioritized the two events.
The has Murkomen, his Principal Secretary Peter Tum, Defence PS Patrick Mariru, Treasury PS Chris Kiptoo and his Transport counterpart Mohamed Daghar.
Others are Principal Secretaries Raymond Omollo (Interior), Mary Muthoni (Health), John Tanui (ICT), John Ololtuaa (Tourism), Korir Sing’oei (Foreign Affairs), Julius Bitok (Immigration), Principal Secretary, Abubakar Hassan (Investments Promotion), Principal Secretary, Abdi Fidhow (East African Community) and Nairobi County Secretary Godfrey Akumali.
