Mwamba beat Oilers to lift Driftwood sevens

Mwamba RFC defeated Menengai Oilers to win the inaugural Deriftwood Sevens, the third of Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) sevens circuit in Mombasa.

Hosted by Mombasa RFC, Mwamba were 21-07 winners to lift their first title of the season to give a wide open for the title after KCB won the opener, Kabeberi before Strathmore Leos won the second leg Christie.

Then Driftwood champions KCB finished third following a 21-14 win over Homeboyz 21-14.

Mark Kwemoi confirmed all tries scored by Daniel Taabu, Mike Okello and Crispine Omondi

In the semis, champions Mwamba beat Homeboyz 10-5 as Oilers were 19-0 against KCB.
