Omanyala and Otuka, the Kenya’s flag bearer at Paris Olympic Games

Commonwealth Games 100m champion Ferdinand Omanyala and Malkia Strikers’ captain Trizah Atuka will carry the Kenyan flag at the Opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games on Friday July 26th at the River Reine.

The duo will be led by double Olympic 1,500m champion Faith Kipyegon, Shujaa’s co-captain Tony Omondi who will be following the footsteps of Andrew Amonde and Mercy Moim during the Tokyo Olympic Games in japan.

Shujaa were the first players to hit the Olympics village, followed by Malkia Strikers and judoka’s Zeddy Cherotich.

Track and field stars will be the next to leave the country for Paris as excitement builds towards the Games in the French capital

Kenya’s best performance at the Olympics was in Beijing 2008 when they won 16 medals, six gold, four silver and six bronze.
