Allan Oyende kept his faith to win the Scrabble Kenya, Kisii tournament title as part of his preparations for the 2024 Pan African Scrabble Champions (PANASA) that will be staged in Freetown, Sierra Leone in September.
The Grand master, Oyende won 14 out of 18 games for the title ahead of Willy Mwangi to second and Richard Okechi for podium finish.
The Stima Club member said that the tournament was tough but victory was the best way to consolidate his skills for the continental championships.
“This was a good battle and as part of our training for PANASA journey,” said Oyende.
