Simbas host Tunisia in Gold Cup penultimate

Kenya Rugby-15-a-side team Simbas has started their preparations in earnest ahead of the two final leg of Africa Rugby Gold Cup. Related stories After registering three wins in their last matches, The Simbas will host Tunisia this Saturday at RFUEA Ground in the penultimate fixture before facing leaders Namibia a week later in Windhoek. Sitting second on the table, with 12 points, with three successive wins recently completed a three day residential camp with the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) in Nanyuki and again head into residential camp in Nairobi. They will also play a series of in-house matches from 2.00pm at the RFUEA on Saturday 4 August 2018 featuring squad members and invited players as they seek to fine tune themselves ahead of the last two crunch games. The Simbas has won six times against Tunisia with Tunisia wiunning three in nine meetings since 1997. Tunisia won 52-05 in their first encounter in 1997 that served as the qualifier for the 1999 Rugby World Cup. Saturday’s clash will be the tenth test between the two sides with Kenya leading in winning stats.
