Former world cross country champion Paul Tergat will retain his seat as the National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) President at the polls set for December 9th.
Tergat, who won the seat during the 2017 polls remains the only candidate for the top job while other posts 12 posts will be highly competed since there are 13 elective posts.
As Tergat sits at the helm, the position First Deputy President, Second Deputy President, Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, Male athlete representative, Female athlete representative, Woman representative and three committee members will go into polls.
Kenya Volleyball Federation chairman Waithaka Kioni will be facing off with Shadrack Maluki, John Kilonzo, and Nahashon Randiek for the Vice president posts as well as Tegla Loroupe.
Andrew Mudibo, who has dropped the presidency post, will be battling for the with Secretary post alongside Francis Mutuku and incumbent FK Paul.
For the assistant secretary post has attracted former James Chacha, Francis Karugu and Mohammed Shoaib.
Treasueres’ post has attracted Anthony Kariuki and KVF Nairobi branch official, Moses Mbuthia and that of assistant tersurer has attracted Agnes Oluoch and John Ogolla.
For committee member positions, Paul Otula and Winnie Kamau will be defebding their positions against Benjamin Musa, Charles Mose and Barnaba Korir.
