GFE 105, Bidco share points

Frustration was witnessed among Global Field Evangelism (GFE) 105 players when they played to a barren draw against experienced Bidco fc in the Kenya National Super League on Sunday at Kipchoge Keino stadium in Eldoret.

Top players led by goalkeeper Samuel Kamunya, Elvis Okusi, Zeka Wakoli among others expressed their anger after missing out on several scoring chances that at the end of the final whistle did not bear any fruit.

Though with the barren draw, GFE 105 returns to the summit with 13 points after six games played, the head coach Joshua Obare expressed his disappointment, frustration and anger at the missed chances that could have propelled them higher as they seek to play at the Kenya premier League next year.

“We had what it takes to win the match but we are missing out to utilize the chances we create. We possessed the ball but scoring was a problem,” said Obare.

He lamented that most teams coming to play against them, use long balls hence they keep on chasing the ball no matter how they try to play ground ball.

“Many teams are using long and high balls which is difficult for us to handle. We are not good at hogh and long balls but we have learnt that and we are going to rectify,” added Obare.

But his opponent Yusuf Chipo praised his team for picking a point after numerous losses in their opening games.

Chipo said getting a point from GFE 105 was not easy.

“The game was good and since we are a visiting team, we are in good position. GFE 105 is a good team and they enjoyed first half but we recovered in the second half where we created numerous chances tjough we did not score,” said Chipo.

Bidco has five points and the tactician promised good results once they host GFE 105.
